What is Lyrix?
An open-source CMS and visual page builder for Next.js. You compose pages from your own React blocks, and Lyrix renders them natively in your App Router project.
Do I need to know how to code?
Editors and clients can build pages visually without code. A developer sets up the project and registers the blocks they can use.
What is included in the open-source version?
The visual editor, block registry and native renderer, local content storage, and Lyrix AI with your own model or API key. It is free and MIT licensed.
What does Lyrix Cloud add?
A managed workspace and project dashboard, team collaboration with permissions and activity history, managed project sync, managed Lyrix AI, and support.
Can I use my own AI provider?
Yes. Self-hosted projects bring their own model or API key. Lyrix Cloud includes managed Lyrix AI.
Can I start open source and move to Cloud later?
Yes. Your pages and blocks are plain files in your repo, so you can connect the same project to Lyrix Cloud whenever you need it.
How is Lyrix different from Sanity or Payload?
Lyrix is built around a visual editor for your own React components. Pages are JSON files in your repo, rendered server-side as real React, so there is no separate content backend to run.
Is Lyrix AI available yet?
It is in development. Self-hosted projects will bring their own model or API key, and we will announce it in the changelog when it ships.
